Our Projects

We work to envision and empower remote communities to become thriving and self-developed.  Our work is centred around the three key areas of health, education and food security.

Health
Our health programme consists of six projects. The main focus of our work consists of training and supporting Community Health Workers (CHWs) and Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs). We also run a community-based clinic and in 2016 are piloting a Community Health Financing Initiative.

Education
Our programme for education consists of four projects. Our Freedom to Education Project (FEP) aims to identify and support talented young men and women who carry a vision for the long term benefit of their people and provide them with the opportunity to pursue higher education.

Food Security
Over the last 8 years we have worked to bring food aid into remote communities affected by famine and flooding. We are currently looking at developing our work towards supporting resilience among small rural farm-holders through a number of key partnerships with local and international NGOs focusing on home gardening and crop diversification.

One-Off Projects
We also deliver a number of one-off projects in support of our core work either directly or in partnership. These currently include work in delivering hydro-electric power and a clean water supply to villagers and our training centre.
