Livelihoods & Disaster Resilience Project

The project is increasing community resilience to disasters and strengthen livelihood capabilities in Northwest Myanmar. Working in partnership with 30 target communities, we are developing the capacity of the local community to prepare, respond to and reduce the impact of disasters and adapt to climate variability.

This is being achieved through the establishment and equipping of village committees in disaster risk management. We are aiming to strengthen the household economies of 100 farming families and 50 women headed households through livelihood diversification and training. This will include implementation of Climate Smart Agriculture for 100 farming families and non-agricultural skills training for 50 women headed households.
