2024 Summer Appeal - Protecting Tomorrow
Help us protect the education of 1,000 children.
We are seeking to raise £30,000 which will provide a stipend for 30 Myanmar teachers to educate 1,000 children for one year. £70 will support one teacher for one month.
4.5 million children in Myanmar have now had their education disrupted for over three years. The military deliberately targets schools and there have been numerous press reports and social media posts showing schools being burned. There has also been clear evidence of schools being destroyed by military airstrikes and ground attacks.
The impact on a generation of young children, and on the future of the country, is devastating.
