Based in Lailenpi, Hope Clinic was constructed in 2016, and provides services to just under 2,000 patients in and around Lailenpi each year. The clinic is also a base for a mobile medical team who conduct clinics in remote rural villages throughout the year.
Education for All is a long sought-after education initiative which aims to tackle the dismal Grade 10 pass rate amongst ‘repeater students’ who have attempted to take the Grade 10 exam at High School and failed. Without support, these students have no further opportunities to study and are unable to find employment.
The Maternal and Neonatal Health project provides training in life-saving midwifery skills to Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs) and maternal and neonatal training to Community Health Workers (CHWs) in remote villages in western Myanmar. This project supports their work to radically reverse the high levels of maternal and under-5 morbidity and mortality rates that devastate families across the region.
